“Identity in Christ” is the Christian belief that a person’s core self, purpose, and value are found not in worldly roles or achievements, but in their relationship with Jesus, becoming a “new creation” who is loved, chosen, forgiven, and empowered by God to live a new life of righteousness and purpose.

It’s a foundational concept replacing old self-definitions (like job, past mistakes, or culture).
