May 28 Kindness is from God

KINDNESS IS FROM GOD. Isaiah 63:7-9

Kindness can be described as a character that is friendly, generous, and considerate of others. Unfortunately, this quality is hard to find in our everyday world—especially in a competitive place. When we look for kindness in the world, we may find it, but we also tend to find a lot of unkindnesses.

Isaiah tells us about God’s kindness and all that He has done for us. In the Garden of Eden, we saw God’s kindness to our first parents.

God had warned Adam and Eve of the terrible consequences of disobeying His commandments. When they continued to disobey His commandments, they realized their mistake and became afraid.

But God showed at least two extraordinary acts of kindness.

First, instead of bringing the death penalty right away, God promised to send His Son to bear the final punishment for sin.

Second, God met Adam and Eve’s immediate needs and gave them clothing to wear. Since then, God’s kindness has been demonstrated when He pointed to His Son, Jesus, the Savior, as the way to forgiveness, restoration, and full life forever.

Therefore, God wants us to show kindness to those who have hurt us and forgive them. God bless you!
